NEWEST BALL PARK IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA TO OPEN

DAMASCUS, VA: The Washington County Board of Supervisors announced today that Beaverdam Creek Park in Damascus, VA will officially open with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Little League Jamboree on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. (rain or shine) Washington County spent approximately $800,000 creating this 8-acre field sport park resulting in the single largest public ball park ever developed by the County and the first park constructed in Damascus in over 50 years. The park will provide over 500 youths with the opportunity to participate in recreation activities in their own community on fields designated for Little League baseball, Little League softball, T-ball and multi-purpose use (football/soccer).
